Jeff Nicholl was born and raised in Camarillo, California. He attended high school at Adolfo Camarillo High School and graduated in 1980. He then attended Moorpark College and received an Associate’s degree in 1983. He transferred to CSU Chico and graduated in 1986 with a BS degree in Exercise Physiology and State Certification in Exercise Science. At that time, he returned back to Camarillo to work at Pleasant Valley – St. John’s Hospital. Jeff then decided to pursue a career in Physical Therapy and was accepted in 1989 to the University of Connecticut. He subsequently graduated in 1991 with a degree in Physical Therapy. His specialty is Orthopedics and he has followed up with extensive continuing education with an emphasis on the “Maitland Approach”, an Australian philosophy. In 2011, Jeff decided to open for a second time a private practice, this time in his hometown of Camarillo. This has been a life long dream for Jeff to be able to work and give back to the community in which his ancestors were born and raised.
In his spare time Jeff has contributed his time as an instructor at Moorpark College and California Lutheran University in the Athletic Training Department. He is also currently on the advisory board for the Department of Kinesiology at CSU Chico. Jeff resides in Camarillo with his wife Teresa Nicholl.
With over 25 years of experience, Jeff has had the opportunity and privilege to work with a variety of patients, ranging from pediatric, geriatric, high school, college and professional athletes, and entertainers.

EJ Spent the first 8 years of life moving from state to state and even starting school overseas in Italy until his father retired from the Army. He then spent the rest of his growing up in Twin Falls, Idaho. While playing soccer his senior year of high school, EJ tore his ACL, and spent several months in Physical Therapy, where his dream of working in Physical Therapy began. EJ went on to graduate from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT with a Bachelors in Exercise Science, where he also met his wife, Ashley. While at BYU, EJ took 2 years off and served a mission for his church in Paris, France. After graduating BYU, EJ attended Concorde Career College, where he graduated as valedictorian of the PTA program. He is enjoying being able to begin his career at Jeff Nicholl Physical Therapy.
EJ lives in Moorpark with his wife and 3 children, Tyson, Audrey and Stella.
Physical Therapist Aide
Hunter Young is a graduate of St. Bonaventure High School and a 2016 graduate of California Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science. She is an Emergency Medical Technician and a certified phlebotomist, along with being an EMT Volunteer in the EMT Program at Ventura College. Hunter is also a graduate of the Health Scholar Program at St. John’s Regional Medical Center. When she is not working for Jeff as a Physical Therapy Aide, she is working in the Operating Room as a Surgical Support Tech at St. John’s Regional Medical Center. Medicine has been Hunter’s field of interest since third grade and she hopes to start applying for Physicians Assistant’s school in the near future.
When Hunter is not working or studying she enjoys hanging out with her family and her best friend, Stella, a little white dog she rescued from a local shelter.
Receptionist, Physical Therapy Aide
Rebecca attended high school and college (University of California, Riverside) in Southern California. In her time at UCR, she volunteered at Loma Linda University Medical Center, studied biology and music, and played guitar in a performance ensemble. In 2013, she graduated with her B.S. in Biology and moved to Ventura County. She is active in the local athletic community, and participates in many road races and triathlons throughout the year. When not at the front desk or assisting with patient care, you can find her swimming, cycling, or running. Her background in the medical field involves training as both an administrative and clinical medical assistant, and an internship at St. John’s Regional Medical Center working with post-surgical orthopedic patients.
Cambria Middleton has grown up in Camarillo for a majority of her life. She has two older brothers and an older sister. She graduated from Newbury Park High School and was a four year varsity swim team and water polo team member. Outside of school, Cambria played travel soccer and enjoyed hiking, biking, and kickboxing. Cambria became interested in physical therapy following a shoulder injury she sustained and was under the care of Jeff Nicholl. After spending time in physical therapy with Jeff and his staff, Cambria decided she wanted to study physical therapy. She then spent two years at San Diego State University studying Kinesiology alongside being a member of the SDSU Triathlon team. Cambria entered her junior year of college this fall at Cal Lutheran University to continue her studies in Kinesiology. Cambria is currently committed to her studies in hope of earning her DPT in the near future.
